House Husband

Well, we didn't find an affordable cabin and JB can't fish while I work, but he has proven himself to be a very good "house husband"......I'm working 7 days a week, 8 - 10 hrs a day and am worn out when the day is over.....JB has taken over the shopping, cooking, washing clothes, taking care of the apartment, and baby girl.......I don't know why after 32 yrs of marriage, I didn't know how capable he is....My friend says its because I always want to do things myself, and never let anyone else help me, consequently by never letting him help, I never really knew that not only was he able, his is also willing. Lesson learned.

I'm in Arkansas !!!

If you miss me in the choir on Sunday its because I'm in Springdale, Arkansas. As most of you know I am a catastrophe insurance adjuster, and for the past 13 years, JB & I have been travelling all over the country working wherever weather related events cause damage to homes.

You've probably not seen a lot of newspaper and television coverage related to anything happening in Arkansas....That's because the news media prefers sensationalism.....There have been numerous storms to cause damage here in northwest Arkansas....and I am blessed to be able to work....

JB and baby girl will come up sometime next week...and we are looking for a cabin here in the Ozarks, where he can fish while I work.....

you're invited to join our choir.........the only requirement is that you love the lord and love music.......

we practice every sunday afternoon @ 4:30........

please join us

HERB KAHL

Herb has been singing in the choir for more than 30 years. More than once he has been called upon to lead the choir and he is always "up to the job".... He serves as a Deacon and on several important committees.

Herb is an active member of the "Brotherhood" and is always willing to help out. He lives in Bush with his wife; Eunice.

Kay Strain

Remember the"chicken man"? he's everywhere....he's everywhere!!!! that's how I think of Kay.

she's everywhere.....she's everywhere !!!! She sings in the choir, teaches the children, serves on committees, works in the kitchen, helps in the office, she's packed and ready to go on mission to Oklahoma......AND when the "Brotherhood" wanted fried alligater for their meeting but didn't know how to cook it, guess who did?

Donna & Donald Fincher

Donna & Donald are very active church members . They serve in the choir, Donna works with the children, and Donald is a Deacon.. But it doesn't stop there. They serve on committees and volunteer whenever there's something to be done.
Their annual 4th of July party is a "christian family gathering" not to be missed. There's terrific food, wonderful singing, and a magnificent fireworks display.....
Donna & Donald own and operate "Freedom Alarm", but they are never too busy with their business to help someone in need.
Who will ever forget the way they opened their hearts and home during Hurricane Katrina.

I've been busy

Well, I havn't posted lately because I've been busy....My "real job"
is insurance adjusting........but for some crazy reason I thought I needed another job and took a 30 hr week position answering the phones at the St Tammany Council on Aging. I am so impressed with their work.....In case you don't know, they provide daily meals to folks over 50 - Monday - Friday and deliver meals to "shutins". But thats not all they do.....They provide a wealth of other services, including alzheimers support (vouchers to help pay for daycare for patients). Check them out at St. Tammany Council on Aging.com....Get involved or get help for yourself or aging parents.

Well anyway, I quit (after two weeks)...JB was thrilled because he wanted his wife back. He got tired of being the househusband...
Then we packed up and went to our camp in Venice.....and fishing for reds & specs....Had a great day yesterday. I caught 3 monster reds,
and he caught several really nice flounder. The season is now "underway" and the fishing is great, so if you want to go fishing with us, now is the time.....we'll be there most of the month of May. Give me a call at 985-516-6091.

PEGGY MARTIN ROSE

"ok" I know this isn't choir related............but flowers are beautiful and touch our souls , almost as much as music.....so indulge me here...........This Peggy Martin rose bush is growing in my yard. Isn't it magnificent ? !!!!!!!!
This rose is named for a New Orleans Katrina survivor who lost her parents, her home, and her garden in the storm. This was one of two specimens to survive . A portion of the sales price of this
rose is dedicated to a fund that restores gardens, parks, and green spaces in New Orleans......

TASHA

MEET LATASHA DUNAWAY..... We call her "Tasha". She's been singing since grammar school and has been in our choir for 8 months. At Christmas she was selected to sing a solo in the contada and did a beautiful job. Tasha lives in Folsom where she takes care of her grandmother. She's engaged to John Hartfield from Bogalusa....no date set....but will be married sometime soon.

MARY CAUSEY has been singing in church choirs for for more than 20 years. She sang with the Parkview Baptist Choir and also the Martin School Choir before joining our choir 4 years ago.
When not singing, she keeps busy around the house taking care of her husband Lloyd, her dog; Rusty, and Daisy; the cat.
She likes sailing, reading, gardening, golf, fishing, & sewing......
She attends Sunday School and is involved in the Meals ministry and Helping Hands....... and she planted and maintains two butterfly flowerbeds in front of the church.

  1. A choir
A body of singers who perform together is called a choir or chorus. The former term is very often applied to groups affiliated with a church (whether or not they actually occupy the choir) and the second to groups that perform in theatres or concert halls, but this distinction is far from rigid. "Choir" has the secondary definition of a subset of an ensemble; thus one speaks of the "woodwind choir" of an orchestra, or different "choirs" of voices and/or instruments in a polychoral composition.

wow !!!!!!!! now you know........
